“Still Life With Orange” Painting

Still life paintings have always frightened me, but I decided to try it anyway.

Although this still life painting wasn’t an actual still life because I had no vase or orange to use as a reference, I still found this subject fascinating nonetheless.

Here I chose to keep the background very dark. My goal was to get both the vase and the orange to pop a bit.

Overall, it was a satisfying attempt at an imaginary still life.
